Why do we charge for our services?
Pet and Property Sitters are a professional pet sitting company and as such we charge for our services. As a professional company we ensure that our sitters are legally employed, reference checked and insured which comes with obvious cost implications for our clients. We expect our sitters to offer a professional service and they are paid as such. They take the time to make diary space and re-arrange their own lives and as such deserve remuneration. We are aware of comments such as 'they are using our power', 'our home is lovely' over the years. They are and I'm sure your home is lovely but they are providing a service and your home would need to remain heated etc in order to be cared for. Our sitters go over and above for our clients and so do we, being available way outside normal office hours.
There is an unfortunate perception that pet sitting is somehow not a 'real' service or industry. It is. Pet Sitting is much more hard work than it may initially seem. As a sitter you are very much on edge, constantly thinking about what needs to be done, ensuring that pets are happy and working hard to keep them and your clients happy. It is a big responsibility and our sitters work extremly hard to provide a service that they can be proud of.
The systems that we use to run our business have been developed over 20 years and contain hours and hours of work. Client are also happy to pay for our expertise and experience safe in the knowledge that we know this industry inside out.
As is the Northern way we work hard to keep our prices as competative as possible and as such are proud to be able to offer a top quality service to rival our competitors at a price that is still very much competative in relation to Southern based services offering top quality care for under £3.00 per hour. We do not charge a registration fee and do all the work for you so that you can relax and plan your holiday knowing things are in hand and your pets will be well cared for.
